ReignOfComputer Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Would it be possible for someone to create a program that can generate .pkm files from the .pgt/.pcd?
Codr Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Would it be possible for someone to create a program that can generate .pkm files from the .pgt/.pcd? PokeGen can load Pokemon data from a PGT/PCD file and save it as PKM.
Guest Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 But can it generate an event just like what the game does when you receive the Pokémon at the Pokémart?
Guested Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 PokeGen can load Pokemon data from a PGT/PCD file and save it as PKM. Right, but it doesn't properly generate the pokemon. Doesn't set met location, doesn't generate IVs, doesn't generate a PID (if it's non-static), and may not set the proper encounter data (from Plat and HGSS).

I guess I was aware of the fact that some (all?) event Pokemon actually have some data generated upon receiving them in-game, but I didn't give it any thought until you two said this. To answer your question though, Pengouin7, no, not just from loading a PGT/PCD file.
ReignOfComputer Posted June 10, 2010 Author Posted June 10, 2010 Soooooo.... Not possible right now? Is anyone going to work on a generator?
Guested Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Not possible. The only way to do it right now is either in-game or manually. I don't know if anyone plans on working on anything.
