Seanify Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 Pokesav HGSS US doesn't seem to have the Johto locations in it when editing a pokemon, which makes it impossible to create a pokemon that originated from a HGSS game.. I've tried messing with the hidden hex values by following a guide, but it didn't do what I was aiming for; in fact, it didn't do anything. (I probably did that wrong though.) So, is editing the hex values the way to accomplish a HGSS-originated pokemon? Say, a Magikarp from Lake Rage. If it is, I'll just keep "trial-and-erroring" till I get it correct. Or am I just going to have to wait for a fix?
Djxchrome Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?5532-List-of-46h-and-47h-values-of-HG-SS-locations Are you making sure to set the location to "Faraway Place"? If you do, then Pokemon HGSS automatically knows to look at 46h/47h Hex Values. That way, if it gets traded to D/P/Pt, it will just say "Faraway Place" instead of the Johto location, because D/P/Pt don't read 46h/47h values.
Seanify Posted March 26, 2010 Author Posted March 26, 2010 Of course! Figures I'd overlook a key step. Oi, thanks, Djx! I shall now attempt it again.
