Emerald Imperium Sav wont get recognized by pkhex.

I know the og file is to big because it uses RTC at the end of the sav file but even when i shrink it by deleting the 16b at the end it ends up still not small enough for pkhex.

Any tips wpuld be lovely, been at this for a while and pulling my hair trying to understand. 

OG file is 131088 in size and after "trimming" it 131056. 

Trimming it anymore makes it a .bak file and that i dont think that'll work.

bak is the original file, not the modified one. Assuming you're using a hex editor that creates automatic backups of files you modify.

I am, the bak file doesnt seem to work either. I've read that we have to cut the RTC out to get it to work and i've done that, still nothing. Any advice?

If you've trimmed it to exactly 131,072 bytes (0x20000) and that file isn't recognized, then it is probably because PKHeX does not support the ROM Hack the save file originated from.
