save file too large?

hi! im trying to play hgss golden edition using desmume but when i plug my save into pkhex it says that my file is too large-- does anyone know if theres anything i can do to decrease the file size? sorry if this is a silly question, im not super experienced with this sort of thing

removed the nds filem as that is likely the ROM.

To edit the save, you need to drag the .sav or .dsv into PKHeX, not the nds.

how exactly do i get a .sav or .dsv file from desmume?

there should be a battery folder in your desmume folder.
