spicaelis Posted November 22 Posted November 22 sorry in advance if this sounds confusing! loaded in the wc8 file of the galar shiny eternatus into my swsh save & noticed that its "met date" was set as today. the official release date of the wondercard/mon was back in 2022. but because on paper it looks like it's been "traded" to me (since it's not obtainable now), should the "met date" in pkhex some time within the release date/year or is it correct to be 2025 since i would've "met" it now? thank you!
ICanSnake Posted November 22 Posted November 22 The met date on redeemed events is the date that you set your Switch on, meaning it can legally be any date that the Switch allows. The wondercard is where the real-time date will be since that is set server-side, but theoretically there is no issues to have the date set as today. It will just look suspicious to others. If you somehow have a Galar Shiny Eternatus with a met date of November 22, 2025 and you suddenly start listing that you have the Shiny Eternatus on the real world date of November 22, 2025, and you've had no indication that you've had it before then, people will ask where you got it from. Remember, injecting wondercards is legal at best and shouldn't be claimed as legitimate when talking to others. 1
spicaelis Posted November 22 Author Posted November 22 ooh, thank you. i did read somewhere that met dates can be theoretically any time because it follows the device time but i just wanted to be sure. anyway, this is just for me & my gameplay for my own enjoyment, won't be trading or mentioning or listing it to anyone, just wanted to ask out of curiosity. thank you much!
