Help with dumping bootleg emerald save

I have a copy of bootleg emerald.I tired to dump my save with godmode and rudolplh’s save backup tool but it always dumps the wrong data. Is there any ways to dump a valid save file?

I followed the steps but It says it is not a valid save file

That file name, you dumped it as "save" didn't you? Maybe using the tools you mentioned in the first post? That won't do; I suspect you didn't fully follow what I sent.


For bootleg carts, the save data is actually stored in the ROM. If you follow through what I linked, you'll be able to extract the save file from the ROM data.
(and just a reminder, don't upload the ROM itself onto our site. Read the tutorial and figure it out)


Make sure you save the game a few times on the cart. Then try to use GBABF to dump the data. Then use the program to extract the save. 
Saves from extracted by my program wouldn't yield that name.
