Help in pk hex gen 3 Pokemon emerald

Ok when I click get tickets on Pokemon emerald which boxes do I have to have checked?im sure when the game is best I don’t have to check them but I want to go get a new that will obey me .which boxes do I have to have checked??help please

what does checking one and not the other ?or both?

What does reachable mean?and what does initial event mean??

Reachable: can you actually travel to the island via boat?

Initial event: the NPC talks to you differently for each location if it's your first time visiting.

Get tickets: if you don't have tickets for the island you've set as unlocked, it gives you the key item.

But I don’t have to have initial event checked to visit it?I just had reachable check and was able to fight mew why so without initial event checked?

So do I have to check initial event to do it?because I left it unchecked and it still worked?what does checking it do?
