Dantasama Posted October 24 Posted October 24 While using the PKHEX version after June, I noticed that when using the Database, even with "UseTabsAsCriteria" enabled, if I preset all six IVs to 31 and click to generate a Pokémon again, its IVs become randomized—as shown in the second image. It fails to generate a Pokémon with all six IVs at 31, but it can generate Pokémon with all six IVs at 30, or three IVs at 30 and three at 31. This issue did not occur in PKHEX versions before June. May I ask if this is a bug in the editor? (Please note that this text was initially generated by a translator, so there might be some awkward phrasing. My apologies.)
Kaphotics Posted October 24 Posted October 24 There is no need to have naturally perfect IVs because bottle caps exist. So the program unconstrains itself so it may more easily generate the Pokémon. You then apply bottle caps, like you would if you actually obtained it in the game. Nobody believes you when you present a natural 6IV wild capture.

I primarily use this feature to batch obtain breeding materials with six perfect IVs. By chance, I noticed that some of the materials have quite chaotic IVs. The Synchronize feature has proven to be quite practical when continuously generating Pokémon is required.
Kaphotics Posted October 24 Posted October 24 You can always control-click the Randomize IVs button afterwards to force them all to be flawless, or customize them after. Or use the batch editor to set for multiple at once. I do agree the behavior isn't entirely transparent or customizable; future updates (not soon) will eventually revise the Encounter Database options to rely less on the main UI, so that "undefined" IVs can be specified rather than "use 31 as undefined".
