Savefimer Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Hi all, so I used some cheats and now my legends ZA doesn’t start up unless it’s my back up. The thing is, I don’t want to lose all my progress. I think what crashed my game was the item numbers, I had like 99999 on everything. So when pkHEX eventually comes out, would I be able to edit my bag and remove all those items and make my save file loadable again? Any other help is also greatly appreciated.

I made an account just to say thank you! My save data corrupted right after i made a backup in checkpoint and i tried everything before finding this thread. I can confirm it work! I didn't know about swishcrypto before seeing your github, it makes it super easy to cheat and change progress and items using python. Just to add, for those who use ftpd and filezilla, make sure you transfer as binary and not ascii (plaintext). This caused me a headache and I didn't realize what was wrong until 1 hour later.

If you're having errors that cause the game to crash due to items, it's not the game itself. It's because of the cheats they've installed that cause the game to crash, regardless of whether they're active or not. It would be best to activate them and then deactivate and delete them when you have what you want. Don't forget to back up your save.

I connect the switch to the computer with hekate tools , would that transfer it as plain text or binary? and were you able to recover everything without losing progress?

I believe hekate uses binary so you're good to go. It should work, but if not, I had to restore the corrupt file and then backup it again using jksv before it worked. (I used checkpoint first but it didnt work with that save for some reason)
