Ideal way to add Event Pokemon to SV

Hi, Firstly I'm sorry if this in the wrong forum or off-topic.

With the baldy handled shiny box legendary event that is currently going on, I checked 4 different EB games here in Aus, and they were all out of codes early Friday morning. Me and my house mate want 1 of each for out dex's, and I have never edited pokemon saves before.

My main save file is now on my Switch 2, but I still have my Switch 1 with atmosphere.

So my question is, what is the best way to get the event pokemon?

I can see on the download page for the .wc9 file that I can either drag it onto PKHeX, or use Switch Gift Data Manager?

And would it matter if I'm using Violet for Miraidon?

And if I want to give 1 of each to my house mate?

My initial thought is just add 2 of each into my boxes on a new save on my Switch 1, and trade to my house mate and use Home for my own?

Have to use Scarlet for Miraidon.

tho you could always inject it then switch the origin version after

Thanks for the clarification on Miraidon, my house mate has Scarlet, so I'll borrow his virtual game cart and start a new save for it.

Otherwise I assume the steps I mentioned as my initial thought will work? Just dragging the wc9 into my save twice for each game version.

Yes, drag in each wc9 in for each Mon, then set the correct game version.
