FireyTyphlosion Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Hello I am new here and I don’t know if this is the proper place to post this when I was a kid i traded away my reshiram for a zoroark on the gts thinking zoroark was very rare or something because I watched the movie I noticed I have my hall of fame data of my reshiram I tried a extractor I found in here but I can’t view any more important details past moves and the PID I would like to recover the date I met my reshiram and IV’s and EV’s if possible to make him as close to the original as possible i have his move set but that’s it I have PKHex I understand I’ll be creating a clone of it

Would you possibly be interested in data mining my save to try and see if any data of my reshiram is in my save i am new to these methods is it possible to get my reshiram’s data back ? I saw your detailed posts any help is appreciated

theSLAYER Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Could you provide the results of what you’ve acquired too?
FireyTyphlosion Posted October 3 Author Posted October 3 I only used the hall of fame extractor you created and I need to do a reverse RNG search to get the stats do you know how to do that ?

Ok I’ll try this program On 10/3/2025 at 8:59 PM, theSLAYER said: You could try Pokefinder, gen 5 mode. Do you know how to read decimal and hexidecimal code ? To read my black save Im thinking of trying to have someone read it to search for reshiram instead of using the RNG calculator because I think that’s more time consuming and I don’t have the ivs to get Evs or I need to learn how to read it so I can search for all of reshiram in the code I can’t find the program to even read my save I’ve been doing this project for 1 week or more 8 hours ago, FireyTyphlosion said: Do you know how to read decimal and hexidecimal code ? theSLAYER Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Sorry, forgot about this. Let's look at it this way: In most scenarios, even if the data of Pokémon is changed/modified, the PID will remain intact, as it is used for shiny determination. (let's say it'll be used as a sprite for a museum painting, for example). Additionally, prior to Gen 6, the PID is the key used the encrypt the Pokemon's data. Meaning as long as they store the Pokémon somewhere, whether encrypted or decrypted, searching the PID will result in some hits. Now, I used HOF extractor to see what the PID is. Then, I searched your entire save (note the values I used accounted for endianness, so every 2-byte word is swapped; example 1W 2X 3Y 4Z => 4Z 3Y 2X 1W) I found exactly two hits. These hits are both the HOF data, one for main save, one for backup save (yes, a single Gen 5 save contains a main and a backup) In conclusion, as expected, besides the HOF data your Reshiram data does not exist in your save. So back to the drawing board, and create the IVs yourself.

Thank you for this detailed explanation i appreciate all you’re help at this time you are the only person who answered me I am so sad but I still have some hope my last question would be I have to keep using a RNG calculator to get those possible correct ivs ? I can’t give up for myself at least
