Help Needed: PKHeX mistakes my BW2 save file as a HGSS save file

Hello everyone, im having some trouble with my save file. while i can load the file and play it as well on DESmuME im not able to view nor edit it in PKHeX. when i open the file it shows as an HGSS file instead of pokemon black 2. im really bad with this technic stuff so any help would be immensly appreciated!

thanks a lot for the fast reply! i have read through the thread you pinned, now my only question would be how i invalidate this part of the file you mentioned? i downloaded a hex editor already but im not exactly sure what you mean by: "offset 0x40000 + GeneralSize, invalidate the previous 0xC bytes by arbitrarily replacing bytes with something else so it doesn't match a Gen4 save block footer" like i said im a noob when it comes to this so i would  greatly appreciate it if you could explain it for dummys thanks in advance

chatGPT luckily fixed it although it didnt work to just override 0x40000 i asked him to override everything from 0x40000 to 0x60000 and that worked for me still thanks for your help have a great day!

Take your save file now and open it in PKHeX. Export it to fix all checksums, and it will still work when you load it back to your game.
