Drperud Posted May 1 Posted May 1 I'm trying to get an Ursaluna (not the Bloodmoon one) in Scarlet. I know I could just create one directly in my save file using PKHeX, but I'd like to know if it's possible to edit an Ursaluna to make it look like it evolved from my own Teddiursa in Scarlet. If I wasn't using PKHeX, I would probably transfer my Scarlet Teddiursa to PLA to evolve it into Ursaluna, then bring it back into Scarlet. That way, it would keep the same TID, SID, and the Poké Ball I caught it with. But how can I create an Ursaluna in PKHeX that imitates this process? Is it possible? Thanks for the help! Sorry if my grammar is off—I'm doing my best, and I hope my question is clear.
Kaphotics Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Putting a fake HOME tracker does not make it legal at all. PKHeX cannot query HOME's server to see if it actually was transferred correctly. Use the encounter database instead of guessing which values you should put. Keep in mind that max scale/height/weight is incredibly suspect and anyone looking at your data would be immediately suspicious.

I only put a random number in the HOME tracker because PKHeX was showing a message that it needed a value there, so I just filled it in so the alert would go away. I wasn’t trying to guess any correct number. Also, I checked the encounter database, but Ursaluna (non-Bloodmoon) doesn’t show up there either, so I couldn’t use it like you suggested. I’m only planning to use my Ursaluna for myself, just playing casually in my game. I’m not planning to trade online or battle online, so I don’t think anyone will really be checking my Ursaluna and saying “hmm, this looks suspicious”.
Kaphotics Posted May 2 Posted May 2 There's no encounter in any game where you can obtain an Ursaluna-0 without having to evolve it from a lesser species. That's why no Ursaluna-0 specifically appear in the encounter database. Therefore, the only way to get one is to obtain one of the lesser species and evolve it. The only game that can evolve an Ursaring into Ursaluna-0 is PLA, and for it to originate/reside in any other game legally, it must have traveled through HOME and obtained a valid tracker. If you're wanting the program to say it is legal, then you must do every step that can't be cheated. If it's just for local play, then you don't need to care about what programs say; the program does not stop you from putting it in your save file. The program even allows you to change HOME tracker severity if you really want to turn a blind eye to the issue.
