Jhaverijr Posted Monday at 05:54 AM Posted Monday at 05:54 AM Hello everyone! I’m an existing Pokemon user playing here and there on emulators. I finally decided to get a switch(I haven’t bought one already and I know switch2 is coming out) for the sole purpose of playing Pokemon on it. I just wanted to know if I could use pkhex on it(if yes then how) because most of the posts talk about modding it(which I have zero knowledge of) or having an old switch as it is pre patched. I would appreciate any tutorials or links as to how I could access the save files and dump it on pc. I’ve watched a couple of tutorials where it asks to download atmosphere/ homebrew. I intend to only play the games offline(single player) and don’t really want to transfer/trade anyone. thank you!
Kaphotics Posted Monday at 10:47 AM Posted Monday at 10:47 AM PKHeX is a PC application and doesn't run on the Nintendo Switch. The only way to obtain your save data from a Nintendo Switch is to run homebrew to extract the save data, which requires you to have hacked the console, which is only possible if the switch isn't patched (ignoring modchips). https://ismyswitchpatched.com/ https://switch.hacks.guide/faq.html
Jhaverijr Posted Monday at 11:17 AM Author Posted Monday at 11:17 AM Is there any way to hack the switch if it’s patched? Any recommendations for mod chips?
