Stadium 2 Move Reminder, VC Compatibility and JP Event Moves

Thanks to Ayano(Pikavees) I rediscovered the Move Relearner in Stadium 2 and what can be done with.

 

The idea of this topic is to list every new moves this bonus in Stadium 2 can unlock such as :

Bite/Leer/HydroPump Gyarados lv15
Disable/Future Sight Mewtwo lv70
Aeroblast/safeguard Lugia lv70
Sacred Fire/Safeguard Ho-oh lv70
Rolling Kick Hitmontop
Horn Attack Piloswnine/Donphan

 

Second time get them as legit as possible (is there a way to force the Move Reminder event however?) and after test them through Poketransporter. Normally they should go without any problem.

 

Third time check for the Japanese exclusive moves :

-Fly Pikachu

-Payday Fearow/Rapidash

-Dragon Rage Magikarp

 

Can those moves be obtained via that method ? My theory is by generating an Event Pikachu/Fearow/Rapidash/Magikarp in RGB with 2/3 moves instead of using wild ones. For example by modifing the Mew Machine. But maybe there are just in legal table not in remind table.

I checked all gen 1 for now.

 

Categories are :

-unused level-up moves (legal for Pkhex) - (unused in GSC)

• Articuno - Mind Reader/Agility/Mist/Gust/Powder Snow (only if you're playing it in a GSC team)

• Zapdos - ThunderShock/Agility/Peck (only if you're playing it in a GSC team)

• Moltres - Wing Attack/Agility/Ember (only if you're playing it in a GSC team)

• Mewtwo - Disable/Future Sight/Confusion (only if you're playing it in a GSC team)

• Hitmonlee - Rolling Kick/Jump Kick (only if you're playing it in a GSC team)

• Hitmonchan - Pursuit (only if you're playing it in a GSC team)

• Golbat - Screech (unused in RGB) (only if you're playing it in a RBY team)

• Kangaskhan lv5 Rage/Comet Punch (need to trade a GSC lv5 Kangaskhan to get Rage)
• Starmie lv5 Water Gun/Harden (maybe bc Water Gun is a TM in gen1) (need to trade a lv5 Starmie to RBY get Water Gun and Harden)
• Aerodactyl lv5 Wing Attack/Agility (need to trade a GSC lv5 Aerodactyl to RBY to get Agility)

• Bellossom - Petal Dance (min Lv 14)

• Politoed - Perish Song/Double Slap (min Lv 10)

-can have both (GS and C moves) legal pkhex

• Spinarak/Ariados Screech+ Agility (Lv 45/53) You need to play with GS team to get Screech and with Crystal team for Agility.
• Suicune Aurora Beam+ BubbleBeam (Lv 41) You need to play with GS team to get Bubble Beam and with Crystal for Aurora Beam.

-oddities not legal yet according to pkhex

• Porygon2 - Sharpen+ Tackle/Conversion/Conversion 2 (have to evolve a Porygon with that moves, Porygon must come from GCS and traded to RBY)

After some tests Pokemon with the moves from Stadium 2 Relearrner will go through Poketransporter without any problem, I haven't tested Porygon/Chansey/Aerodactyl but I have no doubt they'll too.

 

Time for the real fun soon. Find the table of the reminder (if it exists) or test directly with Pikachu/Magikarp/Rapidash/Fearow.

I have edited the list and how to get them, tested them all through Poketransporter (all fine).

Still have to check if there are really obtainable or not in Stadium2 (for now the only case confirmed not is Leer Marowak).

Event moves are in the legality list only

 

Confirmed relearn moves in Stadium 2 : Gengar, Weezing, Muk, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Flareon, Aerodactyl, Snorlax, Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi.

I tested myself all the attacks you cannot in videos/photos to verify and yes Leer Marowak is the only missing.

Yellow Gyarados at level 15 is the main target in my opinion with 4 moves to relearn in RB.

Other than that focus on GSC Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-oh, Celebi, Hitmontop and  RB Gengar.
