SenseiJ Posted March 1 Posted March 1 As the title reads, I got a bar freeze glitch on my most recent game save file. I managed to save the file to my Mega Memory Card and dump it before I encountered this glitch, but now when I try to write this save back to my original cartridge it only shows "New Game" and "Options." The original cart still saves a new game file and I was able to redump a different save file through my Mega Memory Card - so this attached save file is somehow corrupted (even though I never received an error message showing my save as corrupted). Some backstory on this save, I used the "Old Man" glitch repeatedly for lots of items so I believe that it I encountered this either due to stack overflow or a memory bank controller fail, or both. Can someone who is more experienced than myself possibly save my file? Thank you in advance! POKEMON_RED_112.savFetching info...
Kaphotics Posted March 1 Posted March 1 I trimmed the file size and forced it to load in PKHeX (bypassing integrity checks via a debugger) and it fails to load the majority of your data, indicating heavy corruption. Party data and trainer stats gone, only really can see a couple boxes without corruption. Nothing really for "useful" mons. There's box with a corrupted Seadra, Seaking, Exeggutor, Weezing, but the only thing that remains is their names. 1
