Corrupt Alpha Sapphire save; is it able to be recovered?

Hello, my save file stopped working after doing the following.

I backed up my save using checkpoint. I opened the save file on my PC to use it in pkhex. I used pkhex to see stats and I think i also moved some around, i'm unsure as this happened a couple days ago, and i am just now reaching out for help. I wrote the save file to replace the old save, and loaded it to the cartridge using checkpoint. I started up the game, and it just took me to the first time setup, no message saying the save is corrupt or anything like that, it seems like it doesn't even know the save exists. It also refuses to open in PKHex again as well. Is anyone able to tell me what is wrong with this save file?? I would appreciate it a lot, thank you so much in advance

The save file that you attached is an empty save file, as you've mentioned. There is nothing to recover.

I see, that sucks but I wonder what caused that to happen lol
