What is the Misc box on the Other tab used for in a HeartGold / SoulSilver game?

I came back to a save I haven't played in a long time and my starter is in there. I can just export it and move it to another slot, but what does that slot mean in the game? I'd like to get her back in whatever legit way you get a pokemon out of there. Also if it's not labeled for other games where would I look to see what a box like that is for. I'm willing to dig into the source if it's there somewhere.
