justsomefool Posted December 7 Posted December 7 Hey all, So it's my first post here and I'm in dire straits. My copy of Pokémon Emerald save got corrupted my gba micro cut off randomly while I was saving and I just keep getting this message. I'm desperate to get this data back because it's my file from childhood and I'm so close to finishing the pokedex. Any help you all can offer is greatly appreciated. I've included a dump of the sav. Kaphotics Posted December 7 Posted December 7 Block 4 was missing from both main & backup, so that section of box data is gone. Other than that, we can do the same rebuilding/rearranging of blocks to create a new save file. POKEMON_EMER_BPEE00.sav
justsomefool Posted December 7 Author Posted December 7 Oh my God thank you. I'm looking through the last thread you linked and would opening it in HxD allow me to repair the pokedex info?

Every other block is present, so everything about game progress is there. I uploaded a fixed save for you 1
justsomefool Posted December 8 Author Posted December 8 Hey again I’ve been playing through the file and I noticed that the Walda npc wallpaper is busted and talking to her dad now causes the game to crash. Is it possible that the info from block 4 got shoved into her data block? Really just curious about all of this now especially after reading through a bunch of forums.
Kaphotics Posted December 8 Posted December 8 Actually yes; block 4 is the tail end of the game progress block. You can try zeroing that block out and re-exporting with PKHeX. 1
justsomefool Posted December 9 Author Posted December 9 Okay hopefully the last time I post otherwise I'll make a new thread. I can't seem find the correct block to zero it out. I'm still trying it on the fixed save you uploaded. I tried consulting this post to at least help me figure out how to narrow down it's location but maybe I'm missing something.
