ProLiXGames Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I recently began my journey to finally go through and finish a Living Dex before they shut down Pokémon Bank. I accidentally started the game with my 3DS date set way back to 2011. So I decided to just go into PKHEX and change the start date of the adventure there, and I noticed I had one Pokémon label as illegal, which is weird because it was my starter of all things. It says the PID does not match the encounter type. I do not want to change anything about any Pokémon out of pride and just wondering if it is a glitch, or is it because I am playing the rom on Homebrew 3DS. All other Pokémon were legit no problem. I will attach the Pokémon in question so you can review it yourself in PKHX if someone more experienced could. As well as some pictures for those that just want to see it. 0160 - FERALIGATR - 4CCB09F13D77.pk4
Kaphotics Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Not legit; needs to have a PID/IV correlation that the program is correctly flagging. It needs to be a "Method 1" PID. Assuming the IVs are unmodified, the PID should be F964768A.

I have not changed anything on PKHEX, or any thing, I am trying to catch and create a legit Living Pokedex. What did I do to cause it or its something that simply happens? And how did you figure out the right PID if it does happen again?

Either you changed the PID or you changed the IVs with cheats, glitches, or tool/editor like PKHeX; knowingly or unknowingly. There is not a way to obtain what you did without cheating. What exactly you did? I wasn't there when you obtained it or every period of time you interacted with your game data; only you can know for sure.
