Fire red rare candy

I’m trying to use pkhex to add rare candy to fire red, but it won’t show up on my game when I play it on my gba. When I have the cart  plugged into the laptop using pkhex I see the rare candy, but on my gba it won’t show the rare candy.

Be sure to save changes to your bag, then export your edited save file, then import the modified file back to your cartridge and launch the game from BIOS.

Hey,I do save changes to the bag, and I export the save, and then add it to the game, but it won’t show the rate candy on the gba only when it’s plugged into the Joey jr into my laptop. How do I use bios for a gba cartridge?
