Unable to use PKHeX for Pokemon Mirage of Tales (Rom hack)

Hey everyone,

I've recently started trying to play rom hacks, and Pokemon Mirage of Tales looks super interesting. But as someone who has always wanted to use PKHeX to generate (and edit) my favorite Pokemons to go along with my journey, I kept getting this error message. 

For players who've actually played this ROM hack before, I'm at the point where I just start passed the test, and I'm about to embark on my journey with my Nidoran (not really a Pokemon I'm interested in). 

What gives? Is the save file too small/large for whatever reasons? If so, how can I fix it? (Yes, I have a folder called "Internet Explorer". I changed the icon to that too.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am a total newbie at this, and besides making basic edits on PKHeX, I really don't know much about what's below the surface.
