Pokémon Sword and Shield PKHeX: Possible to change player gender?

I’ve been wanting to change my player’s gender from male to female on Sword and Shield for years and can’t figure out a way I can do it using PKHeX. I’ve found another guide (below) that’s given me some ideas on how to do it, but even after importing fashion and status blocks from a female character save, my game always crashes on startup. Is there anything I’m missing?

Yes, but nobody knows because it's easier to just start a new save file.
