INPUT FILE IS TOO LARGE. DESMUME

I'm having trouble loading a sav. from pokemon soul silver.
First of all I try to load the .dsv of the desmume. I clarify that I always save within the game and not the emulator.
I also tried to export the battery file with the desmume and when I load it it tells me "invalid save file loaded. Abortin.

I'm out of ideas, if you can help me I would be grateful.

Gen 4 save fi les are 512KB, not 1MB.

Cut the file in half and it loads. Fix your emulator settings to use the correct savefile size.

Open it in a hex editor like HxD then delete the bottom half of the bytes (0x80000 onwards).
