When the Pkhex program saves the main file, does it not save the other backup files?

I accidentally deleted the main file I was working on. 

I was wondering if the pkhex program automatically creates another backup file at the same time when you export or save a file. 

And if it does create a backup file automatically, where can I find it?

It does not create a backup in the destination folder.

If you have set up the bak folder when initially prompted by the program, it should be located in that folder next to the executable.
