(FBI, PKSM, JKSM, Checkpoint and GM9) Any tips on how to do it? The only thing some of them have in common is that FBI, PKSM and JKSM cite the same error when I try to download the save data/make a backup: Error 0xD900458B Any help is welcomed Update: I tried to dump my save using checkpoint but the cartridge doesnt show, I tried using other cartridges and they work just fine, is just the Omega Ruby that isn't showing. I also cleaned the pins and tried reinstalling Checkpoint and holding B to refresh and it also didnt work, while the other cartridges work fine. Any tips? PXL_20260821_135309124.mp4
ChamomileStar Posted August 30 Posted August 30 @Kaphotics I got the ORAS games so my girlfriend and I could play them together, and my Alpha Sapphire just corrupted. I don't wanna start over and make her wait for me to catch back up, is this file salvagable? I had trouble with corrupting files earlier, but they'd corrupt immediately, After uninstalling and reinstalling the game this fresh save was stable for about a month before dying today. main

Weird, I used Checkpoint for the dump, but this was my first time trying so maybe I did something wrong? Dumped a new one, put it into a hexeditor and compared against my previous dump, and one you posted that worked fine. Still looks different from the valid save, but it doesnt have the sharkive stuff. main

The appearance of a save file should not look like that; ORAS save files start off with PokePuff data not a partial section of empty box data. Try a different application like JKSV. Ensure the game actually boots with recognized save data, and that you didn't erroneously restore an incorrect file to the savedata prior to trying to dump.

Hm, I'm starting to think this is a symptom of a bigger issue potentially with the game file. Gonna cut my losses, start a new save, be more dilligent about using backups, and keep an eye out for other problems. I appreciate your time!
Teamplasma N Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago @Alexprio here's your alpha sapphire save file. The reason why the game wasnt recognizing your save file cuz you renamed the file named main into a different name. also if you didnt know the file named main is the file extension of the extracted save file thats created after making a backup through checkpoint. Never change the name or extension of these files to avoid any unnecessary save data corruption errors. main
