Question about Paradox Pokemon Origin Game

Hi, sorry if this is a confusing question, I'm a bit new to this. So I'm playing on Scarlet and I wanted to get the Violet Paradox pokemon. I know that if I were connected to a Violet game I could find these pokemon legally. So my question is... on the Origin Game drop down do I put Scarlet or Violet if I want to be OT? Again, sorry if I worded this poorly.

They use your save file version; not whoever you're connected to.
