Can you tell if a shiny Pokémon was found naturally?

I was looking through all my old Pokémon files on pkhex  recently and found that in my Platinum file the Togepi from Cynthia’s egg is shiny. I had access to cheats when I was a kid but I’m unsure if I used them. Is there a way to tell if the shiny was in fact random?

Check the PIDIV correlation. Most, if not all, cheats from back in the day don’t account for those.

Thanks for the reply. How would I check if the PIDIV correlation is valid?

Well just drag the Mon into PKHeX and it’ll tell you whether it’s legal or not.
