gen 5 pkhex files not being .SAVS

I did a soul silver nuzlocke and I want to transfer my old team to a Pokémon white randomizer file. for info I used universal randomizer to randomize it and I use DeSmuMe for even more context ill explain the order of events. I open Pokémon white with desmume, I save and save the game in a save slot, I export the save file, I open it in pkhex and I make changes like adding and changing the Pokémon's level and moves, I export the file in pkhex, its not a .SAV file. how do I fix this?

Change the file extension yourself, or overwrite the original file you opened in PKHeX when you're saving your changes.
