Soul Silver Shiny Odds Modification help

Hi, I've been trying to modify Pokemon Soul Silver to have increased shiny odds, however I keep running into errors. I've been following this specific guide step by step, but I encountered the following messages. I did as the guide said to click "okay" and "yes", however once I open the game up I'm not able to open the game past the opening.

If I could get any assistance with this, I would greatly appreciate it!

Try using the Compression... option instead of Import, that worked for me, oh and btw, if you want to change the odds to a number higher than 1/256 or 257 check my new post.

By any chance, do you also know how to modify how many items you have in game?

I think the best option, without using a cheat to give you 900x of each item would be using PKHex.

Good shout on the compression point. Made a temporary edit to the tutorial.
