PokeGen Pokemon not appearing

I recently downloaded PokeGen to do a challenge where I change my team to a random one every gym badge earned in Soul Silver. I tried to give myself the Pokemon I generated at the start, but they weren't in my party, where I set them. I tried looking everywhere to solve this problem but nothing seemed to work. I would follow tutorials exactly how they did it, but it didn't work. Can anyone help me get the Pokemon I want?

Use PKHeX instead. PokeGen has been outdated since 2014 now.
