Giving Genderless Pokemon a Gender and Vice Versa

Is there any way to force genderless Pokemon, such as Magnemite or Staryu, to have genders, or vice versa? I'm hoping to do some editing in PKHeX to set up and Egglocke run for a friend, and ideally I'd like to have some "illegal" mons in the selection, such as a male Magnemite, female Staryu, or genderless Marill or something, but PKHeX doesn't seem to allow this, even in HaX mode. I get that it'd be flagged as illegal, but considering that HaX mode lets you do illegal mons anyhow, I don't see why this aspect wouldn't be included as well. Is there a way to do this, or am I out of luck?

Batch Editor can do direct edits to specific slots.

I tried batch editor, but when using it to alter a Magnemite and make it female, it shows up as one in PKHeX, but not in-game in Pokemon Black 1. It's possible I'm doing something wrong in the batch editor, but I'm not exactly sure what the correct settings are in there to do so.
