thiagom123 Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 I was planning on playing all the pokémon games from the 1st gen to the most recent gen, and use PKHeX to get the exclusives Pokémons of the versions I hadn't picked (If I choose Heart Gold, I would get me the pokémon from Soul Silver) (PS: I do not participate on any online battles, I am doing it just for fun) and transfer the pokémons I got in each generation to the next generation. My question is; how should I handle remakes? I know it only transfer pokémon from a previous gen to a more recent gen, but can I transfer pokémon from Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee to Heart Gold and from Omega Ruby/Alpha Saphire to Platinum or Black/White? Or does it need to be on release order? Or depends on the remake ?
Kaphotics Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 PKHeX emulates official transfer methods. If a hypothetical transfer method does not exist (Example: SwSh to Ruby) then it will indicate it cannot convert between those formats. A setting is provided to disregard that restriction, but the conversion logic instead tries to copy as many values as possible. Mileage may vary.
thiagom123 Posted November 13, 2021 Author Posted November 13, 2021 I see, I will stick to the emulating the official transfer methods then. Thank you!
