Wrong game version

Ok so i caught a pokemon in silver and it is not showing the right game version on pkhex that it was caught on and is showing red,blue and yellow.I am using the latest pkhex(210521) So i am a bit confused why its saying a gen 2 pokemon was caught in a gen 1 game.Also this seems to effect other pokemon in the kanto area in silver or gold or crystal witch is a bit weird.Any help would be apciated.Thanks

VC Transfers show which version they were transferred from.

For legality checking origins, it's whatever it matches to first.

 

Generation 1/2 PKMs do not store the version they originated from in their data.

Oh so gen 1 and 2 pick whatever game version at with legality?so only gen 3 and up actually keep where they originally came from?pokemon red blue and yellow showed the correct version they were from and caught area.
