Binary is not compatible with save file

I am currently doing a nuzlocke on an emulator and I am trying to view my iv's but when I go to open the sav file even when I put it into gen 3 it says that it is not compatible. It is emerald kaizo ips patch if that makes a difference. Can anyone help me with this?

save in-game, instead of using state saves. If you don't save in-game, you can't even attempt to use the file with PKHeX
