Guest Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 (edited) So, I made 12 different Pokemon on Gold Version for 2 teams that I'm making. When all of their met level is 1 and location is Goldenrod City, nothing is flagged as illegal. But Gen 2 Pokemon hatched at level 5, right? So, when I change any of their Met levels to 5, it then flags as illegal. Why? Happens to all 12. If it matters: Met time of day is set to "Day." Edited November 17, 2020 by PkHexBoi
Shady Guy Jose Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 I could be wrong, but I think met level, location and time of day are Crystal-only values. As such, if you're editing a Gold version save, it should be (None), 0 and (None), respectively.

I noticed that also makes the illegal flag go away, but wasn't sure if that was an *actual* legal option to use.
Shady Guy Jose Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 (edited) I actually opened a Silver version save I had lying around with only a starter and it checks out. Those are the values it's supposed to have. It may or may not be different for wild or hatched Pokémon, but at least those are possible values, and it lines up with the info I had that those fields were supposed to be Crystal-only. Would you mind capturing a random Pokemon real quick just to 100% confirm it by testing it?
Shady Guy Jose Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Yup, random Sentret got the same values
