Guest Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 Hello. I'm confused about the actal Gen VIII shiny rate, since most people say that wild are at 500 Pokémon defeated 1/686 or 1/512 with respectly no charm or charm. Or abut an possible chain of the same Pokémon or about a 3% for the 1/686 or 1/512. Someone can confirm the real rate? I'm also curious about the rate of raid Pokémon, though.
Theonlyone113354 Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 The official website gave us insight on the odds for pokemon defeated. The raid odds are LOCKED at 1/4096, charm or no charm.
Guest Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 (edited) So is 1/686 for 500 Pokémon defeated and no charm and 1/512 for 500 and charm? Edited April 14, 2020 by Guest
Theonlyone113354 Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 More or less. Now here's the interesting part; that 500 number is based on a LIFETIME encounter count, not a chain. The chain maxes around 25 or so. Unlike the chain, you can encounter another pokemon and still have that 500 encounter rate. Regardless, still try and get that shiny charm cause they are still pretty rare. I'm not sure on the max chain odd though.
