Ultra Sun Randomizer Help

I'm following all the instructions for a .cxi file type per the video linked below. When I drop it back to the Luma folder on the SD card for the 3DS, boot up the game, clear the data like it says to do, then launch the game; nothing happens.  I'm really not sure if I'm just missing a step since the files have been updated since then?

edit: Nevermind, it was something dumb AF. Didn't have patching enabled in Luma

No need to reply to this. I removed the duplicate thread, and unlocked this one, sinces you're still having problem.

I thought I figured it out by enabling patching in Luma. Unfortunately, when I launch it now, the game just launches to a black screen. I've tried going through the entire process again and it's still doing the same thing.
