TheWillo13 Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 So when you generate all items in the 'Items' catagory, more that 50% of the are the ★ symbol followed by three letters and 3 to 4 numbers. Now 2 of the items are used to summon Larvitar and Jangmo-o to lairs so what I'm thinking what if this is how Gamesfreak intend to include more pokemon into the game? There are about 270 of them. Now with a pokedex of 400, 490 have been cut out of the 890 though I am including thee pokemon said to be transferable at this time. So the 490 we are missing from the game is the number I used. So I thoughtm how would 270 relate to 490 Pokemon but it occured to me that if we take 490 and look at all the BASIC pokemon ONLY and assume that Pokemon Dens will only spawn basic pokemon like Larvitar and Jangmo-o, the 450 pokemon becomes approximately 270!!! My numbers may be a bit off as I had to just count by looking at what I could find and may have missed some or double counted, but supposing that Dens would only spawn basic pokemon and still getting a little over 270 (including Alolan forms) and then there being about 276 of those unknown items, my hypthethesis that the game may introduce pokemon through Den Events is actually seeming plausable. So what do you guys think? Has the question of the ★iterms been answered already or do you guys think I may be onto something?
theSLAYER Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 As far as I know, these items only work with Watchtower den, doesn't work for any other den. Gigantamax Toxtricity, Gigantamax Snorlax and Gigantamax Melmetal presently unavailable. No reason to think these won't be released via these items down the line. (Plus they're presently testing Gigantamax Butterfree using one of these items on Pokémon Shield) However, these items probably won't be how cut Pokémon are revived in the series. Don't expect any of the cut mons to be in Sword and Shield. Even if the cut mons get featured in a future game, it likely won't be patched into SWSH. We can't see the future, but we can draw proper inferences. Based on all the games in the present, they've never patched a new mon/form into older games. (XY didn't get ORAS megas or Hoopa form, SM didn't get USUM Ultra Beasts nor Zeraora nor Meltan/Melmetal) In any case, speculation on what the items does is not necessary, especially if you think it'll bring back cut mons.
