(XY) Event Constants/Shiny Charm

alright so from what i know, the shiny charm doesnt actually activate by having it in the bag but the event of getting it? so is there an event constant thats able to basically say that the event has happened?
(i wanna soft reset for a starter w/ shiny charm odds)

i haven't seen anything about it but i wanted to at least ask uwu''

The shiny charm works whenever it's in the player's bag. 

Keep in mind that you're basically cheating to get elevated rates, so you might as well just cheat in a shiny rate hack instead. Or, just make it shiny in a save editor.

it does? ive gotten 0 luck w/ hours of resetting so i guess my luck just sucks. i saw a lot of people saying it was an event constant eek

and how would i do a rate hack? just curious incase i wanna do it on a seperate save. 

and yeah but honestly, im so deep into this hunt i dont wanna just give up xp

oh yeah i think ive heard of that :0c well thanks for your help, now i gotta put the charm back in later (i dont even know why i decided to take it out)
