editing gen3 saves

Hey
I've been trying to lad gen3 saves (FR) and some gen2 (C), by saving from the Visualboy or exporting battery file, but Pkhex does not load the file because of it's size.
how can I export the save the right size so it'll work? what am I doing wrong?

save size incorrect.

Make a copy of your save (as a backup),
Load the save in VBA, and then save over it.
In VBA, set save size to 128KB. (FLASH 128K)
