GeorgeAnton
Hey guys, first time posting so sorry if this is in the wrong forum. So I've spent the past 2 days trying to find a way to rip my PMD: Blue save but to no avail. I've tried WiFi Backup Tool, as well as the tool used to backup HG/SS. The first gives an error after a moment of sitting at 0% while the other just hangs at 0%. So I was wondering if anyone has had any luck in backing up their Sav and how you did it. evandixon
What hardware/flashcarts do you have? Given your attempt to use Wi-Fi, I'd guess only a slot 1 flashcart. Are you using a DS lite?
GeorgeAnton
Sorry I should have mentioned. Yes, you're correcting in assuming I've only got a slot 1 flashcart. And yeah, I'm using a ds lite Sent from my GT-I9505G using Tapatalk
evandixon
Have you made sure Windows Firewall isn't blocking your FTP port (by default, port 21)?
GeorgeAnton
I followed a guide to unblock it, just in case it was blocked so I don't think it is.. Is there anyway to check? I'm on Windows 8.1 Sent from my GT-I9505G using Tapatalk
evandixon
Can you link to the guide you followed?
GeorgeAnton
Yeah sure This is what I followed: http://www.sysprobs.com/how-to-allow-ftp-traffic-through-windows-8-8-1-windows-7-firewall This only said to do it to inbound rules, however I did it to outbound rules just to be sure Sent from my GT-I9505G using Tapatalk
evandixon
I always hate it when Wifi backup tools don't work right. Mainly because I can't help anyone debug them since I lost my DS lite. Did you do anything much different than this guide? https://gbatemp.net/threads/nds-backup-tool-wifi.252623/

I'll have another Crack at it in the morning specifically following that one..Maybe I missed a step or something. I don't know if this is any help, but I recently bought a 3ds on 4.5.0-4E and my gateway card will be here tomorrow, so if there's anything I can do with that then I'm happy to try it.
