If they were to do that they can kiss their money goodbye. The sales of future games will drop from 100 to 0 within 1 game. They are not assholes.

yes but they are trying to get rid of hacked pokemon if they could patch the power saves they would

I don't think they really care about hacked pokemon honestly. The only moment they could care if you take obvious hacked pokemon (i.e. No guard sheer cold) to a VGC tournament and give the officials extra work because they'd have to remove the person.
