doll Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Can a starter pokemon have 31 IV in every stat? Im not sure how does it work. i do know that it depends on the nature. But, why can some pokemon have perfect stats (31 in everything), while others can't (such as my bold latias with 17 att)?
Toffeuy Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 IV's are just random it depends on your luck. As for if a starter pokemon can have 31 IV's, Yes and No. It depends on your TID and SID. If your TID/SID matches a 31 IV match, then it is possible. If it doesn't match, you can't get a 31 IV starter.
codemonkey85 Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 i do know that it depends on the nature. It depends on your TID and SID. If your TID/SID matches a 31 IV match, then it is possible. If it doesn't match, you can't get a 31 IV starter. As far as I can say, both of these statements are completely false and unjustified. Where did you guys hear this? >_> Please see here for how the mechanics actually work. (FYI: the section about deriving Unown's forme from the PID is GBA-only, and does not apply to DS games.)
