lorameera Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 Hey everyone. This Christmas, I was given an additional 2GB of RAM for my computer to upgrade it. This RAM is made by the same company and is of the exact same speed. (The RAM is Crucial Ballistix PC26400 at a 4-4-4-12 timing). When I opened up my computer I was properly grounded and I inserted the new RAM. The RAM clicked right in and ABSOLUTELY was seating correctly. Then, I turn on my computer and two things happen. First off, there is a constant and loud, endless beeping noise. Also, nothing is displayed on the screen. Seeing obviously how something went wrong, I took out the new RAM. This didn't work at all, the same two errors happened and my computer now won't run. Does anyone know what I can do? Incase it's needed here are my computer specifications. i cannot open this link due to ram error. http://www.premiumcleansefacts.com/ CPU: Core 2 Quad Q6600 Motherboard: nVidia 680i RAM: 2GB(what should be 4GB) of Crucial Ballistix RAM HDD:Barracuda 320GB SATA Video Card. EVGA 8800GT Superclocked Edition Please help and if you need any more specific details, say it here or preferably my email.
evandixon Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 If you are able to boot from a disk/usb, try looking up how to do a RAM check, which would tell you if the new RAM is defective or not.
