Editing Benga's Shiny Gift Pokemon

Recently I decided to edit a PKM file corresponding to the Shiny Gible that Benga gives you after beating him in the Black Tower. I obtained it in-game and soft-reset so that it would have a Jolly nature, but after a recent Subway battle I checked its IVs and learned it had horrid Speed. So I created its pkm file by uploading it to Pokecheck, edited the Speed IV to 31, and cleared the PID field to save it and force it to generate a "valid" one. When I uploaded this modified pkm file to Pokecheck, however, it told me the PID was invalid. I tried forcing a PID with the following parameters:

IVs: Equal to what I originally had, but Speed equal to 31

Nature: Jolly

Shiny: Yes

Ability: 1

Gender: Male

Basically, all the attributes I had before. Still the PID was incorrect.

I feel as though there's a flag that's conflicting with the always-Shiny option or something, but if anyone knows what exactly I need to do to get this to work I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
