Pokemon as Following NPCs just like in HG/SS?

Hey, first time posting here.

I was wondering if anyone can help me out in replicating this video

Seems like he describes what he's done as:

A function was added where a sprite would be following you. The sprite was replaced with the appropriate Pokemon. That's all I did. I also fixed some glitches, but that's all. It is just and NPC sprite change. Just showing it.

This is for Black 2/ White 2 of course.

Any help would be appreciated!

Only thing that child did was replace Hugh's sprite and walked through walls to get outside of the starting town. There's a reason he has to block people from his channel for calling him out on his lies.

Might as well read this, as I actually figured it out (he didn't). The only problem is that double battles are forced with a preset trainer, so it's currently not possible to have something following you without repercussions.

I haven't seen the vid but I'm guessing there's no way to get a Pokémon to follow you without a ROM hack or just hack, then again I haven't seen it
