Terminator Sequence Issues

So I'm trying to beat Pokecheck and code legit Pokemon. I'm a little OCD so everything has to be perfect. I've spent hours researching on my problem and I've finally come to a dead halt on the final step. I can't seem to work out the "Invalid Terminator Sequence in Trash Bytes" phrase that keeps popping up. Now I know my problem is the last sequence should be \xFFFF instead of \x0000 but I don't know the exact format I should put the name in where I should shove this sequence. Obviously, the Pokegen program isn't doing it quite correctly. When I go to type in the Nickname box, it doesn't allow enough for the spacing. I'm new here and the help will be greatly apreciated

PokeGen does do it correctly.

You just have to type the \ first. It will allow you to enter whatever 4 digits in place of a character.
