kalkat579 Posted October 7, 2012 Share Posted October 7, 2012 Whenever i use pokegen to get the six pokemon i use through the entire game i make the like always and set them in the program with all the correct setting and save the edited .sav file when i go into my game everything loads but when i go into the menu and try to click on any of my pokemon the game frezs and i have to restart my ds i cant use the pokemon i used the same stats and everything from the jap black save 2 just redid all the pokemon for white and US instead of JAP any help would be appreciated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

kalkat579 Posted October 7, 2012 Author Share Posted October 7, 2012 well yes its on a flash cart but thats cuz i ripped the game when i bought it at midnight last night (to preserve the actual game cartridge itself) would that make it consider it as piracy even though i bought the game?but i ran black 2 on my flashcart as well and it never crashed if it AP even though i own the game sry i asked i did no know i was doing something wrong Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Codr Posted October 7, 2012 Share Posted October 7, 2012 The English versions of the games haven't been tested with PokeGen at all, at least not by me. Usually there isn't enough of a difference in the save file to make anything break, but there could be. Don't bother uploading the .pkm files though, as that's not going to provide any useful information. As for what the problem is, I don't know, and am not going to try to offer support for the English games yet. If I had to guess, I'd say it sounds like you used the wrong target game settings, or loaded the save file itself as the wrong game. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
evandixon Posted October 7, 2012 Share Posted October 7, 2012 If you didn't apply the AP patch, run the DS Scene Rom Tool, apply all the updates, open your ROM, and export the rom, applying the AP patch. If there is no patch available, trim the ROM, load the trimmed ROM, and then apply the patch. A common freeze occurs when backing out of the Party menu, but this patch should fix it.
