suzy223
Hi all! Today I managed to successfully extract my Pokemon Ranch save from my Wii, but the file is smaller than I expected (I'm not sure if it extracted the whole thing or not--though I do only have 337 Pokemon on it). Anyway, the main problem is, I lost my Pokemon Diamond game, where the Pokemon originated from, 2 years ago and I've been struggling to find a way to get the Pokemon out of the Ranch. I'm doing this because I just can't get a hold of one of my Diamond Pokemon (Trainer: YVETTE in all caps and red) and I never bothered to find out my Secret ID (I was stupid and it never occurred to me to do that). I've tried asking in a million different places where I used to trade (on the Internet) but no one's responding, lol. So I'm hoping that you guys can give me some advice on what to do here. When I extracted (using cISO 249 rev 19, base ISO57 and SaveGame Manager GX), I got a folder called '0001000157424d45'. I wonder if this is my Secret ID (I've got my fingers crossed!!)? Anyway, I'm hoping that someone can test out my save to see if all the Pokemon load in Ranch. Also, if possible, can you tell me a way to figure out my Secret ID with just this save? I honestly have no other means of doing so. I'd appreciate any and all help, thank you very much! My Pokemon Ranch save
codemonkey85
Dumb question: what's the regular Trainer ID? The Secret ID will most likely be stored right next to it. Also, I hope the save file itself isn't encrypted or anything. EDIT: It's not encrypted. I found your name "YVETTE": /* Pokemon Ranch save (warning - may not be complete)\savegames\0001000157424d45\savedata.bin (2/19/2012 11:23:00 PM) StartOffset: 00002700, EndOffset: 0000270F, Length: 00000010 */ unsigned char rawData[16] = { 0x43, 0x01, 0x40, 0x01, 0x2F, 0x01, 0x3E, 0x01, 0x3E, 0x01, 0x2F, 0x01, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0x00, 0x00 };
Kyogre1
Do you remember 49928 as your ID? Then your secret ID is 59012. Good luck.

MRDSBOY
I would also really like to know. I have homebrew already and know how to extract my save, I just have no idea how to get the information from it.
Kyogre1
I keep been getting many requests about this, so let me explain what you need to do. This explanation is based on the savegame file of suzy223. I don't have any other savegame file to look at, so I don't know if this works for all files. Use any hex editor (such as HxD) and jump to offset 0x26FC. In suzy223's savegame file you can see the values 08C3 followed by 84E6. These will differ in your savegame file. Now flip these numbers like this: C308 and E684. Next, convert these numbers from hex to dec. C308 will be 49928 (Trainer ID) E684 will be 59012 (Secret ID) If you don't know how to convert hex to dec, here's some website you can use: http://easycalculation.com/hex-converter.php Enjoy and good luck.
